East Kilbride Credit Union is an ethical financial co-operative that serves members in Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire, and has done so for over 30 years.
VectorCloud has been providing IT Services to EKCU for over ten years ensuring availability and reliability of their IT infrastructure.
The Challenge
East Kilbride Credit Union requires a robust and reliable IT infrastructure due to the nature of their operations. It is imperative that their systems have maximum uptime and customer data is securely backed up and encrypted.
To ensure this, VectorCloud proactively works alongside EKCU to implement and upgrade their systems by recommending developments to the already resilient infrastructure.
The Solution
By looking at continual developments to improve on their IT systems, it was recommended that in addition to having already implemented Microsoft Hosted Exchange, ensuring maximum uptime and resilience to the email infrastructure, VectorCloud’s industry leading Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery solution would complement this by protecting their on-premise systems.
The Positive Outcome
Microsoft Hosted Exchange provides high availability and security due to its advanced anti-spam, anti-virus and malware heuristics scanners. It is the de-facto solution for business-critical email.
In addition to this, the Server infrastructure is monitored 24/7 by VectorCloud’s Network Operations Centre (NOC). It is also backed up by our industry leading Business Resilience and Disaster Recovery solution, which in the event of a catastrophic event, allows us to virtualise the Server infrastructure in the cloud to allow the business to continue operations within hours, if not minutes.
The services implemented within East Kilbride Credit Union are industry leading, and our friendly and experienced team of Service Engineers ensure that any day-to-day IT issues are covered as well as larger IT projects planned and implemented with minimal impact to their daily operations.
